a declaration

Jan 01 2003

Right now I feel the usual relief at being done with the holidays. Christmas was relatively quiet, and provided some much needed rest, which I promptly burned off in the week that followed by hitting the bed between 4 and 5 each morning. If only I could better resist the temptation of my new Gamecube games, I would have made even better use of that time. Writing something here, for instance, would be a nice start since every week I make some brave declaration that I'm going to break the cycle of neglect and write at least every other day. So, bear with me, there may be a return to the banal here in the new year if I actually adhere to one of those declarations. And if you believe that one, I will also try to convince you that I'm going to complete some of my long outstanding projects in the coming months.
