Le Sacré-Coeur: "The Sacred Heart" is a glimmer of white on the Paris skyline, and on some days you can actually see it through the smog.

Notre Dame: Paris' most famous cathedral. If there is any doubt, try going to the top on a summer afternoon. Of course, the one summer that I make it to paris, it is under contruction. Thankfully, the trees hide most of the scaffolding.

Tour Eiffel: Pictures do no justice to this monstrosity. I took this picture from atop the Arc de Triomphe, and you can see how the tower dwarfs everything around it.

Tour Eiffel: A closer look at the Eiffel Tower. This was just before we went to the top. I will admit that I was a bit worried when the second elevator began to rise, since everyone looked like ants from the second platform. Gustave Eiffel supposedly entertained guests in the top of the tower, which stands 318.7 meters (1045.6 feet) high.
