Marienplatz: To the right is Neues Rathaus (New City Hall); the very dark neo-Gothic architecture looks somewhat out of place. The square is named for the gilded statue of The Virgin Mary that stands in the center. In the backdrop, the Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady) is the main landmark and city symbol.



Altes Rathaus: (Old City Hall) I had no idea what this was when I took the picture. I just wanted a picture that showed off some of Munich's great architecture, and I loved the turrets.
